We want to be sure that you’re as prepared as you can be to be a mentor. We have a thorough application and training process and will be with you every step of the way. Curious about the process of becoming a mentor? Here’s what to expect!

ATTEND AN INFO SESSION // Throughout the year, we host informational sessions for prospective mentors. Join us, hear more about New Life Mentoring, and ask any questions you might have.

SCREENING INTERVIEW // meet with a mentor screener for a conversation so we can learn more about you and your interests. We want to match you with a mentee who you will have fun spending time with.

MENTOR ORIENTATION // This primary training session will equip you and train you with the tools and knowledge to be a successful mentor.

BACKGROUND CHECK // All mentors are required to have a background check on file. This will ensure everyone stays safe.

MATCH MEETING // Before you meet with your mentee for the first time, you’ll have a meeting with your mentee, his or her family, and a New Life Mentoring coach. Your coach will introduce you and help you get your match off to a great start.

MONTHLY CHECK INS // Your New Life Mentoring coach will contact you each month to encourage and support you in your mentoring journey.
